Ammonites were cephalopods with a similar appearances to a nautilus. They lived in the oceans between 360- 65 million years ago. The name ‘ammonite’ originates from the greek ram-horned god called Ammon. Ammonites went extinct around the same time as the dinosaurs, and their beautiful spiral shells have been fossilized with different minerals over time.

Labradorite is a feldspar mineral of the plagioclase series that is most often found in mafic igneous rocks. Some Labradorite exhibit a strong play of iridescent blue, green, red, orange, and yellow colors, sometimes called flash. Labradorite is so well known for these spectacular displays of color that the phenomenon is known as "labradorescence." Specimens with the highest quality labradorescence are often selected for use as gemstones.

Quartz is a silicate mineral that comes in many different formations and varieties, and can be found worldwide. It has been used for jewelry, tools, and home decor throughout history. Quartz contains a type of electricity known as piezoelectricity that is used to power many different things such as wristwatches, hospital machines, and electric lighters.

Jewelry Care
It is recommended that you remove your jewelry prior to sleeping, bathing, exercising, or cleaning with chemicals. Each piece has been sealed with a non-toxic jewelry lacquer. You may gently clean your piece with mild soap and water but never use chemicals or other types of cleaners because this can damage the gemstones and remove the patina on the piece. Jewelry should be stored away from natural sunlight and heat in a protective jewelry box (like the one provided).

SAFETY/ALLERGY **All of our Jewelry is Nickel-Free**
Copper is a low-allergic metal and should cause no harm during contact with your skin. If you have had copper allergic reactions in the past, avoid copper jewelry.  If you have any concerns about your health and wearing copper, consult your doctor.
